Welcome to Mountain View Sauerland! We are mother and son, and together we run this cozy guesthouse in the heart of Neuastenberg, right across from the ski resort. Our goal is to offer you a warm, comfortable, and authentic stay, surrounded by the beautiful nature of the Sauerland. Our guesthouse is inspired by our love of mountains, hiking, and winter sports. Whether you're looking for a relaxing weekend, an active holiday, or simply want to escape the hustle and bustle of everyday life, you'll feel right at home. Formerly known as Stiegelmeier, we took over the guesthouse in November 2025 and are now making a fresh start under the name Mountain View Sauerland. That's why we're currently working on a beautiful renovation. Ensuring peace and quiet and a pleasant stay is always our top priority, so the renovations are being carried out in such a way that our guests won't experience any inconvenience. Our currently available rooms are each carefully decorated and offer all the amenities you need for complete relaxation.
We believe it's the little things that make all the difference: a personal welcome, a delicious breakfast, and a welcoming atmosphere you can always count on. Is the guest house for adults only?
Yes, we have an 18 policy to ensure peace and quiet in the guesthouse.

Are pets allowed?
No, for hygienic reasons pets are unfortunately not allowed.

How far is the guesthouse from the ski slopes and hiking trails?
The ski slopes and hiking trails in Neuastenberg start practically on our doorstep. The Winterberg ski area is about a 5-minute drive away, and Willingen is about a 30-minute drive from the guesthouse. In winter, the ski bus (free with the Sauerland Card, included in your stay) stops across the road from our guesthouse. It takes you to the villages of Winterberg and Altastenberg.

What are the check-in and check-out times?
Check-in is between 3:00 PM and 8:00 PM. Check-out is before 10:30 AM.

Can I cancel my booking?
Cancellation is possible according to our cancellation policy. We recommend purchasing your own cancellation insurance to cover any costs.

What is the SauerlandCard and is it included in my stay?
The SauerlandCard is a discount and benefits card that gives you free or reduced admission to attractions, museums, hiking trails, and ski resorts in the Sauerland region. When you stay at Pension Mountain View Sauerland, the SauerlandCard is included for the duration of your stay. This way, you can fully enjoy the region at no extra cost!
